“Peace on Earth” is superimposed over Rick Griffin’s altered art of a classic Dutch painting (Rembrandt’s “The Syndics of the Draper’s Guild” 1662). The art is dated 1986. Text on the back reads “Wishing you and yours a Joyous Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, a prosperous New Year, peace, love, laughter, and a great good cheer. The Grateful Dead.” With a return address to Dead Heads, PO Box 1965 San Rafael, California.

Artist: Rick Griffin

New Years Eve 1976/77 was recorded and was the first album released by Rhino Records in 2007 as “Live from the Cow Palace”.
