After a juicy exchange in #009, over a midsummer’s day in 2012, we fell back into some quick back-and-forths that I initiate with a quote about Carolyn by Kerouac.

“And I shudder sometimes to think of all that stellar mystery of how she is going to get me in a future lifetime and I seriously do believe that will be my salvation, too. A long way to go.”
To have anyone write that to you would be very special, not to mention Jack Kerouac. Came across this quote over the weekend and of course thought of you.
With a twinkle in me eye,

Hmmm—he didn’t seem very happy about the prospect. A pity Sampas stopped us publishing the complete letters between Jack and us, altho they are still in the first Penguin paperback which some people have found. That used to be on Amazon.
Love,
Carolyn

Ah yes, David—But the actual letters we sold to the University of Texas at Austin, and they are available to the public—given permission. And, as I said, I do have copies. Then the two published books.
